I tend to like bird images like this more than ones with crystal clean,sterile backgrounds. I suppose both have their place, but more lately I like a bit more environment. Very nice Drew.

I think it’s lovely. The background is soft and gentle and the female’s plumage blends in with a nice subtle pop of blue. beautiful.

Nice image! I also love the similarities between the shapes of the bluebird and the seedpods. It adds another dimension to the image. Cool shot.

Thanks Brandon. There were a few seedpods open this morning but they were all covered in frost! Too bad she didn’t sit on one of them.

Love the picture, Drew. I, too, like how the typically subtle bird seems to “pop” against the anonymous background. Those seed pods bring back childhood memories too, running around with a stick and breaking the cotton-ish fibers out!
