Big Cypress: The Gators

It’s hard to come to Big Cypress and the Everglades and not take a few photos of the abundant American Alligators.  I have hundreds in my files but they keep attracting my attention and my lens.  This image is simple and I have little to say about it except that the reflections attracted my attentions and I simply love the deep greens in the water.

I like this picture a lot. I feel the most common gator picture is like this (profile with reflection), and really love the one you did for Everglads Imagery where you could see through the water to the gator’s legs.

Interesting image. The reflection of the gator is almost disorientingly crisp against the green, nearly blurry water. Any chance you have one without the twig in the corner? Nice job. :-)

  • I like this image as well. It’s the way you expect “Gators” to look. :-)
